As a baby photographer, I had the sweetest little boy in my studio about 2 weeks ago, named Ryder. His mom and dad brought him in for a session since he was turning one. I loved how happy he was the entire session (well, almost the entire session anyway…) when it comes to cake, it seems like more often than not, the babies are completely freaked out (unless you get a miracle baby who just so happens to love cake more than anything else at that moment, but it’s a *very* rare moment if/when that happens). We worked hard during the session, and at least got him to smile near his cake, and at least pretend to be excited. Happy Birthday Ryder!
See what I mean? The boy was just so cute! I love how chunky he is! For his session, his parents also brought in some of their own props to use, one being this big (but soft) custom chair with his name on it, that was purchased from Pottery Barn. Now, I secretly kind of want to get some chairs for my studio space. Not custom embroidered, of course, but still. It was SUCH a cute chair.
and lastly, there was the cake. Note for future sessions, red frosting doesn’t go so well. haha. Oops. But, Ryder was good about it, and it still ended up SUPER cute because of his expression. It ended up being one of my favorite pictures from his session. Adorable. That’s the only way to really describe it.
